FIRST TIMER Event April 2019 Registration
Never been to an Advanced Driving School? This event is for you?
To attract new people to come out to advanced driving school events, the Trillium BMW Club runs a special weekend class for those who have never attended such an event previously with either Trillium or any other organization (see below for 'Who is a first timer?'). This first timer driving school will be held on April 27-28, 2019.
Do I need a sports car, BMW, or highly modified car?
No. A typical road going car of any make and model will suffice. There are some restrictions (such as no SUVs, specialty vehicles, etc) which are all listed on our web site(see restrictions on license and vehicle type). Unless the car is brand new with less 7000km or less in mileage, the car will need an inspection. The Trillium club provides a mandatory inspection form for a certified mechanic to fill out upon inspection of your vehicle. You may go to any service centre to have the form filled out by a certified mechanic. The club also provides a list of service centres both BMW specific and all makes/models. Some even provide this service at no charge provided you have paid for a BMW event.
First Time Advanced Driving School - Event Dates
You may register for one, and one only, of the following weekends: April 27-28, June 8-9, Sept 7-8, or Oct 26-27. This registration is for the April Weekend. Since you can only be a first timer once, if you wish to sign up for additional schools, please review our list of schools events. If an event is marked as sold out you may ask the registrar (email@example.com) to be put on a waiting list.
First timers may attend any one school at the discounted price of $493+HST ($557.09) regardless of which event you pick
Who is a 'first-timer'?
If you are new to Advanced Driving education and have never attended a BMW Advanced Driving School event offered by any BMW Club of Canada, BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA) chapter, or any other car club or organization that teaches high performance/advanced driving, this event is for you. While attending any driver course for the first time with Trillium will introduce members to the Trillium club, the first-timer group is not meant as an introduction to the club nor an introduction to Mosport's Grand Prix circuit. The goal of the first-timer course is to introduce high performance driving to qualified drivers who have never experienced this type of driver education.
Our weekend Advanced Driving Schools include Saturday night dinner at Mosport's new event centre, a souvenir gift, a raffle ticket, and guided walking tour of the track.
